The Cathedral of Reggio Calabria is an extraordinary example of eclectic architecture-liberty, a reinterpretation of Gothic and Romanesque. The cathedral is dedicated to Maria Santissima Assunta, and of course is the largest religious building in the region Calabria, and one of the most visited by tourists for its extraordinary beauty.
Located in downtown in the square, which is structurally divided into three parts with four towers pierced octagonal shaped. Suggestive is the bell tower of the cathedral, are 28 meters high, completed in recent times, in 1931 to replace the old bell tower was destroyed by the earthquake of 1908.
